As my actual golf game is handicap of 24, my score is above par all the time. The only opportunity I can score under par is by playing online golf game. :) I found online golf game also satisfying if I cannot find the time to play the game in the golf course. Moreover, it is more comfortable and all you need to do is sit in front of your PC and start playing the game almost immediately, no need to pay green fees and no need to pay the caddies. The only thing missing is the sound of nature of bird chirping as you are going for your birdie. However, online golf game is also quite challenging as the course also has hazards such as bunkers, water pond and OB as in a real golf course! You also have to select the right clubs, choose the right angle, and then use the right force to drive the ball straight onto the middle of the fairway. The most satisfying thing about online golf game is that you get never miss the fairway. :) Most of the online golf game available in the internet is usually browser based, ie you do not have to download the software on your PC. You played real time either on your own or against other people logged on to the same software. For all

you know, you could be playing with the real Tiger Wood. Who knows, he might be sitting down at his PC and putting with you! A little bit on the technical aspect on online golf game, it is made using Java or Shockwave technology. Most PC’s are already built-in with these plug-ins and all you need to do is to login and start playing. The advantage of such technology is that the game is allowed to be “cached” on to your PC and hence not causing unnecessary load on the server hosting the game. Of course, there are CD and DVD available which you can buy off the shelf but with so many online golf games available in the internet, most “golfers” prefer the latter. Another advantage which I found with online golf game is that at least, my wife is happy as I get to spend more time at home, at the same time enjoying my favourite game and spending quality time with the kids playing golf online! The disadvantage of it is that, my son always beats me to the game despite of me scoring under par! Wait till he grows up and play the actual golf game…I’ll beat him then. Meanwhile, if you are also a keen golfer, try playing golf online too. It’s great. Have fun golfing.
