For the benefit for all those unfamiliar with Everquest and is wondering why is this game so popular, here’s a simple explanation of how the game works and its development process behind Everquest.
Everquest is a 3D role playing game taking place in an environment battling with other online players. The game was distributed in 1999 and the original version was developed and designed by Bill Trost, Steve Clover and Brad McQuaid. The game was distributed by Sony Online Entertainment.
Everquest revolves in a fantasy environment, fulled with colorful characters and background where gamers choose a character and battle against each other for points and treasure. As the games play on, survived players will gain abilities, accessories and notoriety. One nice factor about Everquest is the
environment. There are about 400 zones that a player is capable to travel throughout the whole game.
A major drawback caused by Everquest is that people sometimes get too addicted to the game until to the extent that several players have actually died from lack of nutrition and sleep due to overplaying the game. It is true that the game could be time consuming but to stretch it all the way until end if life is just too much overboard.
Despite all the criticism, Everquest still remains popular as ever, so popular that they even release a sequel in 2004. The drawback of this game is that you have to pay a sum of download fee to start playing and subsequently a monthly fee to continue playing. Which brings to why the company is reaping so much profits from subscribers.
Everquest is a game which requires full concentration and patience and one must be prepared with full budget available, of course. Just bear in mind not to go overboard, enjoy the game, follow the basic rules and you will get the most out of playing Everquest. Happy playing.
